String
If you are planning to store your guitar for a very long time, you have to make sure that the strings will be removed. Removing the strings will eliminate pressure thus preventing damages to the head of your guitar. Dirt can corrode the strings and other parts of your electric guitar. You also have to regularly wipe the strings and fret board of your guitar to remove hand and finger oils.
